Michael L Smith: HCI Professional

About Me

About this site

On this site you will find examples of my work from my undergraduate studies in both Cognitive Science and my graduate studies in HCI. I felt that Human Computer interaction was a natural progression from Cognitive Science they work together well.

I have presented some research at a national conference (2006) on "The perception and Interpretation of Sarcasm and Irony" during my undergraduate studies, and there are examples of projects from my graduate studies. If you would like anything further that you don't find here contact me.

My education

I began my education with an AAS in Information Technology, I went on to obtain a BA in Cognitive Science at SUNY Oswego, and then on for my Masters in Human Computer Interaction, This seem like a natural progression from Cognitive science, HCI could be thought of as applied Cognitive Science.
